Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise is a popular American author, performer and actress well known for her portrayal of Ginger Grant in the 1960s television show Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s, she started her acting career on stage in Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. After that, she acted on Broadway in various shows until the year 1957, in which Li'l abner was big in the National Theatre. The same year, she debuted her debut musical album, This is Tina Time. Louise started the first phase of her Hollywood career in 1958, when she played Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a drama film. The film was a massive success, and Louise was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. She was enrolled at Actors Studio, New York during this period and became Lee Strasberg's student. Her most memorable performance came with the year 1964, when she enrolled with CBS to play Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise was a success in Hollywood as well as Broadway, playing somber characters in order to dispel her image as a the glamour girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She has also appeared in SG-1 as well as Helen Magnus, but in the past few years has gained recognition as a director on several well-known TV shows such as Supernatural. Her birth date was 28 August 1965, in Essex. When she was three, her family relocated her to Toronto which is where she spent the majority of in the city for her entire childhood. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 to play the role and has been settling down in Toronto ever since.
